however, this year, i only managed to go for the 1st two conferences (they were both FANTASTIC by the way).. i missed the 3rd one cuz i was having a bad headache.. couldn't get out of bed.. aiiiii~ but its ok.. will be watching the service thru internet tonite.. thank God for technology! ^-^
and ya.. in both conferences, Pastor Phil preached abt 'The Spirit Of Prayer' it was awesome.. the way he describes how he gets up at 5am every morning for his quiet time totally impacted us.. and also.. how he enters into God's prescence, into the spiritual realm.. whoa.. it really makes me want to have the same kind of experience.. to have such a strong connection with God.. Pastor Phil says that praying isnt juz praying.. its to dwell in His prescence for hours and hours.. enjoying God's company =) He also said that in his entire life.. he's seen the holy spirit twice! whoa. its like after what he's told us.. it really convicts each and every1 of us to have a spirit of prayer.. that we want to have the same kind of intimate experiences he has with God..
and also.. way b4 Pastor Phil started preaching.. i tink it was on the offering message.. he said this "when you have a negative mindset, you won't be able to see your solution" in Luke 24, it talks about 2 of Jesus's disciples who were deeply distressed abt the death of Jesus.. their thoughts were so negative that they din even know that God was right there in front of them.. whoa. after hearing this, i realised that God is simply awesome.. He never fails to encourage me when i'm down =) *loves* so from now.. i gotta change my negative mindset! jia you~
